Eileen Regina Edwards, which is Shania Twain's real name, was born on 28 August 1965 in Windsor, Canada. Very early the girl learned to raise her brothers and sisters. She often helped her stepfather, forestry worker. Eileen was hard working, courageous and combative. And from an early age, she began writing, composing and singing. Her mother, Eileen was convinced that a truly talented singer needs a stage name. She was at age of 8 when the small girl chose her nickname. After getting married she renamed herself Shania Twain (Shania means "on my way" in Ojibwa's language). After ten years since she composed her first title everything pointed to a bright career for the girl. In 1986, her parents died in a car accident. The beautiful Shania then begins to doubt her luck. 21 years old and forced to deal with the education of her brothers and sisters, she had to raise them and earn enough to bring something to eat at home. Far from giving up, Shania got a job and continued to sing until the complete independence of her family. Only then she could fully focus to achieve her dreams. She then sang with Mercury Nashville, home of the country. His first album was released in 1993. She brings crowds, and became the idol of several generations. She made the acquaintance of producer Robert John "Mutt" Lange (Def Leppard, Bryan Adams). They become friends and then get married in 1993. She released a second album "The Woman in Me" and a third "Come on over." The latter launched her career in Europe. In November 2002, she released "Up" in several versions. Today, the beautiful young woman is part of the international music scene and greatly appreciated.
