After 12 years with her first beauty contest won Mero worked as a model for internationals companies like L'Oreal, Pepsi and Guess. Sable (real name Rena Mero) came in 1996 in the World Wrestling Federation (now WWE) and debuted at Wrestlemania 12 as a valet by Hunter Hearst Helmsley. Then they performed this task for her husband Marc, but in 1997 due to an injury she had to take a break. In 1998 she returned and was then back in a feud with her husband against Goldust and Luna Vachon. Marc turned against them and so there was a feud between Sable and Marc's new manager, Jacqueline. From this she won in November 1998, the WWE Women's Championship. In April 1999, she became a Playboy cover girl. In mid-1999 she left the WWF together with her husband and tried her luck as an actress. During this time she had guest appearances on The Howard Stern Show and Late Night With Conan O'Brien. She appeared in television series such as Relic Hunter and First Wave, then she landed a role in the movie Corky Romano, where she played a Female Bouncer. In August 2000 she published her autobiography Undefeated. Besides the biography she published the comic books The 10th Muse, in which she is presented as a super hero. In April 2003, she returned to the WWE. First she was teamed up Torrie Wilson and fought against Stephanie McMahon, which received support from the rest of the McMahon family. The team began with Wilson Sable a story line against Trish Stratus and Jackie Gayda. After a new feud against Wilson in august 2004 she left the WWE to spend more time with her family.
