Rachel Hunter was born on 9 September 1969 in Auckland, New Zealand. She starts these days in the films but it was her modelling career that has made her a star. She started modelling at the age of 16 and quickly became one of the top flagship models of the 80s. At 17 years, her dream measurements attracted the attention of Playboy which proposed a photo session. She felt she was too young for that so she declined the offer, but it was only a postponement as she appeared topless for the magazine in 2004. In 1990, she married Rod Stewart with whom she has two children, Reindeer and Liam. They separated in 2005. She concluded her modeling career in 1994 to try her luck as an actress. She could be seen in several series such as "Susan" and "Mad About You" and in thrillers and horror movies: "Two Shades of Blue", "TripFall" (2000), "Pendulum" ( 2001). She created her production company Bee Knees and is involved in charities: she's an ambassador to The Born Free Foundation and founded The Rachel Hunter Lowland Gorilla Fund.
