When you think about Nicole Richie, one thinks of endless celebrations, of her famous behaviour in Simple Life and her many VIP friends. But Nicole was not always been the small glamorous blonde that we know. When she was very young, she was abandoned by her parents: it was rumored her father was a percussionist Peter Escovedo III, but her mother remains unknown, though it is known she worked backstage for Lionel Richie. Her name is actually Nicole Camille Escovedo and therefore her origins are Mexican, Caucasian and Creole. At the age of two, she was adopted by Lionel Richie and his wife at the time, Brenda Harvey-Richie. But the figure of the ideal family is not met and Lionel Richie later admitted he was mostly an absent father for Nicole. At the age of nine she went through a difficult time when Lionel Richie had an affair with another woman resulting in a divorce with his wife Brenda Harvey-Richie. She continued her studies and went to the Buckley School with her best friend Paris Hilton. But during the evenings Nicole begins to take drugs. She was also arrested by police for possession of drugs. Fortunately, she became aware of her condition and began a detoxification after becoming really afraid of dying. She is best known through the series "Simple Life", yet she had almost not land the role since it was first offered to Nicky Hilton, who has declined it! She is also a part of a rock band "Darling" where she plays with top-model Josie Maran and sisters Alberti, Soleil and Sofia. A real rock star has to have tattoos and Nicole isn't different. She has many of them on her body, among which are wings on her backs, a star on the right wrist and a ballerina on her hip ...
