Full Name: Liv Rundgren Tyler Nationality: American Profession: Actress Birth: 01 July 1977 Liv Tyler, her birth name Liv Rundgren, was born in Portland, Maine. Her mother Bebe Buell was a very popular model in the 70s at the Ford agency before being fired after appearing naked in Playboy. She grew up believing that the rock musician Todd Rundgren, the boyfriend of her mother, was her father. After all this is what her birth certificate said. However, Liv was the result of an 8 months long love relationship between his mother and leader of the band Aerosmith, Steven Tyler. Liv had suspicions about her real father when she met Mia Tyler, another daughter of Steven and that they looked like 2 drops of water. It made her mother admit who the true biological father was. For her 12nd birthday, Liv decided to change her name and she took her father's name, becoming Liv Tyler. While she was 14 years old, she left for New York with her mother. Then she starts in the modelling business encouraged by her mother, who becomed her agent and a friend of the family Paulina Porizkova. With her perect body and measurements, porcelain complexion and deep blue eyes she created a sensation in the fashion world. But she became tired after a year and decided to be an actress. In 1995, after a simple reading, she was given the role of Callie in Heavy by James Mangold and 3 weeks later she was selected to play in Silent Fall by Bruce Beresford then in Empire Records by Allan Moyle. She also appeared in a video clip Crazy for his father's band, Aerosmith. Her agenda becomes quickly filled and she starred in 7 films between 1993 and 1996. The film that really boosted her career was undoubtedly Stealing Beauty (Stealing Beauty) by Bernardo Bertolucci in 1996 where she holds the lead role and where she performed brilliantly. In 1998, she appears for the first time in a big budget film produced by the Disney Studios - Armageddon - alongside Bruce Willis and Ben Affleck. The following year, she can be found alongside Chris O'Donnell and Glenn Close in a Robert Altman's film Cookie's Fortune. She could also be seen in Plunkett & Macleane and in a very different movie Onegin, Martha Fiennes' adaptation of Alexander Pushkin. She is then found in the trilogy Lord of the Rings by Peter Jackson, where she plays the role of Arwen, an elf of an incredible beauty who must choose between immortality and love. In 2003, she once again plays alongside Ben Affleck, her partner in Armageddon, in Jersey Girl. Two years later, she appears in Lonesome Jim by Steve Buscemi. In 2008, she becomes the partner of Edward Norton in The Incredible Hulk.
