Lil 'Kim (real name Kimberly Jones) is an American rapper working under label Atlantic records produced by Timbaland. While she was very young she met Biggie Smalls, aka Notorious BIG. He decided to take her under his wing in helping to pave a path within Junior M.A.F.I.A, a group of rappers acreated by Notorious BIG, where she becomes a key element. In a tribute to her mentor Notorious BIG, she named her second album, Notorious K.I.M.. Lil 'Kim is a rapper with sex appeal overflowing. The production of her songs is provided by the famous producer of Aaliyah, Timbaland and Havoc of Mobb Deep. Her career is loaded with many stars featuring in her songs like Missy Elliott, Snoop Dogg, Christina Aguilera, Mary J. Blige, Redman and many others. She also participated in a main theme song for a 2001 movie Moulin Rouge, Lady Marmalade with Christina Aguilera, Pink and Mya thanks to which she received a Grammy award. Accompanied by Timbaland, 50 Cent, and other talented producers, she developed in 2003 La Bella Mafia, which became platinum in the USA. Lil 'Kim finds himself in court in 2004 for a history of shooting. Seven years in prison maximum were required at the beginning of the trial but the rapper eventually was sentenced to a year long imprisonment. During her sentence she released her fourth album The Naked Truth.
