Jaime Elizabeth Pressly is an actress and model born on July 30, 1977 in Kinston in North Carolina, daughter of Brenda Sue (born Smith), a professor of dance and of James Liston Pressly. She has a sister, Jessica and a brother, James Liston Jr. Pressly studied gymnastics and dancing for eleven years; she passed a casting in the Push series. At fourteen, she was already the spokesman of "International Cover Model Search" and she started to obtain modelling jobs in the United States as well as in Italy and Japan. Pressly studied in Costa Mesa High School in California, where her mother had moved during which her parents were getting a divorce. Pressly then tried and succeeded in emancipating herself from her parents at the age of 15. Pressly played "Violet" in Poison Ivy: The New Seduction in 1997. In 1998, she played a recurring part, the Mika assassin, in the series Mortal Kombat: Conquest. In 1999 Pressly auditioned for the role of Audrey in the series TV Jack & Jill. Pressly played in an independent film Poor White Trash the part of Sandy Lake. She then appeared in many films, such as Not Another Teen Movie (in the role of a stereotyped cheerleader) and Torque in the role of criminal on a motorcycle). Pressly also posed naked in March 1998 and February 2004 editions of the Playboy magazine. In 2001, she became the ambassador of the Liz Claiborne cosmetics the perfume Lucky You. She took part in a show with the group of Pussycat Dolls. In 2002, she was classified eighth in the Stuff magazine's "102 Sexiest Women in the World". In 2006, Maxim put her in 34th position in its yearly ranking and she also appeared in the gallery of the magazine. In May 2006, she posed naked for Allure. In 2005, Jaime Pressly took the role of Joy Darville in the NBC's sitcom, Earl. It was twice nominated for an Emmy Award in the category "Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series" for this role, winning the Emmy in 2007. She also appeared in many videoclips: "Girls of Summer" by Aerosmith and "Tainted Love" by Marilyn Manson. On May 31, 2006, she was the presenter of the first VH1 Rock Honors. On October 7, 2006, she took part in Saturday Night Live. Before that, she was invited to an episode of the eleventh season of MADtv. She was also invited to star in an episode of Charmed, playing Mylie, a siren which tries to find love; Alyssa Milano (Phoebe in Charmed) played in an episode of Earl in November 2007. Pressly had a relationship with Simon Rex, Co-star of Jack & Jill between 2000 and 2001. In an interview in 2001 with Howard Stern, she said that Rex had broken with her the day of their anniversary. In October 2006, she married her boyfriend, DJ Eric Calvo (also known as DJ Eric Cubiche), who she was friends with since the age of 10. Jaime Pressly gave birth, May 11, 2007 in the medical centre Cedars-Sinai, to their first child, Dezi James Calvo. In an interview in the Esquire magazine, Pressly announced that she had almost bought a ticket for a flight to one of the planes which crashed into the World Trade Center, September 11, 2001, but changed her mind since the flight was too early for her.
