Hilary Duff was born Sept. 28, 1987 in Houston, Texas. Actress and pop singer, she leads her career under the dual patronage of Walt Disney and Jesus Christ, two very important figures in American culture. She made her first television appearance at age 6, performing in a show called "Nutcracker". Then she starred in a series of films which strengthens her role as an actress. Hilary succeeded very quickly in the television and film industry. She appeared in films and series for Disney Channel: "Cadet Kelly" and "Lizzie McGuire" where she plays a teenager going through her life with her two best friends, Miranda and Gordo. The series was elected No. 1 series for kids at Nickelodeon choice awards. She then played in other series such as "The Soul Collector" for which the young artist was awarded as Best Supporting Actress. Hilary turned to big films like "Human Nature" by Michel Gondry and "Casper meets Wendy." But for the little blond-haired fairy, television was no longer sufficient ... That's why she turned to music. Her debut album "Metamorphosis" was released in 2003 and brought her an immediate success, thanks to which she has been able to record more albums: "Hilary Duff" (2004) and "Most Wanted" (2005). From "So Yesterday" to "Fly", from "Why Not," "Come Clean" and "Little Voice", she sang a lot of songs, which resulted in 2006 in her first compilation: "Hilary 4ever" .. . She didn't want her musical career to continue the path of Britney Spears or Christina Aguilera (two other former Disney girls) so she showed she's much wiser and announced in June 2006 that she was still a virgin at the age of 19, despite her relationships with Aaron Carter and Joel Madden, lead singer of Good Charlotte. As such, she deserves to be compared to other artists in the Christian Businesslike Stacie Orrico (in the same genre), or POD, Metal ... Not to mention Mel Gibson when it comes to the movies! She has been involved in a lot of support events for children and American soldiers in Iraq
