Eva Longoria, the new image for L'Oreal, was born March 15, 1975 in Corpus Christi, Texas. Surprising as it may seem, she was considered the ugly duckling of her family... Raised on a ranch, she decided early on to become an actress, but continued her studies until graduating in sience at the University. Always tempted by the desire to become an actress, she took part in a talent competition, which took her to Los Angeles. Once the ugly duckling, now a Miss Corpus Christi 1998 signed a contract with an agent. At L.A., Eva went to various hearings and had a few appearances in Beverly Hills. It was in 2001 that really launched her career forward, with the role of Isabella Brana in the famous soap opera "The Young and the Restless". In 2003, she made her film debut in the Snitch'd, then starred in and co-produced the TV show Hot Tamales Live: Spicy, Hot and Hilarious, which turned out to be a real success. In 2005, Eva signed a contract with L'Oreal, which was a contract on the level of stars such as Beyonce. So what has happened to make this formerly unknown actress to become the image of this giant cosmetics company? The answer: the series Desesperate Housewives, a big hit in the United States since the fall of 2004. The series - where she plays Eva Gabrielle Solis, a former top-model who has everything she has always wanted to have, especially a rich husband and a beautiful home - propels Eva among the stars of 2004 and made her career move quickly again. One proof of that is her appearance in the movie Harsh Times, alongside Christian Bale.
