Her first name sounds almost as female Frodo Baggins himself, Elijah Wood. Elisha, such an original name. Her parents could not find a better name for this young actress, sensuous blonde getting famous in cinemas after being discovered by television. She's not an American film star though. Born on the other side of the American border, in Canada, where such stars were born as Jim Carrey, Michael J. Fox… And Elisha Cuthbert. Of course we can't say that Miss Cuthbert is a film star, not yet, but her time will come very soon. In Alberta, Canada, November 30, 1982, the girl was born. But it is in Quebec, Longueil, where she was growing up. Soon, Elisha became a "Foot-model". And it does not stop there. As teenager, she was hired by the children's program "Popular Mechanics for Kids." She acted as the "international correspondent" and ran at the same time worldwide. Nice way to start in life! Back in Quebec, the actress appeared in a few films and local programs, before leaving to try her luck in Los Angeles.
