Her charisma, beauty and talent have made her one of the musical divas of current times. She was the main songwriter of Destiny's Child, with whom the trio has triumphed throughout the world. Her solo career was not left behind, with her first record going to the top in the lists of sales. In her young age Beyonc Knowles was a very creative girl. She liked to sing, write poetry, design clothes, dance ... So it is not surprising that when she was only 9 years she formed together with a friend, LaTavia Roberson, a band which over time would be one of the most famous R&B groups in history: Destiny's Child. The group was born in 1990. Mathew Knowles, Beyonce's father, became manager of the girls. In 1992 Kelly Rowland joined the band, and a year later the quartet was completed by LeToya Luckett. Destiny's Child performed at clubs in Houston until in 1997 won its first recording contract. Their first album, "Destiny's Child", drew public attention with singles such as "No, No, No". Their second work, "The Writing's On The Wall" sold more than 10 million copies worldwide, thanks to hits like "Jumpin, Jumpin" and "Say My Name." In early 2000, a series of internal problems led to the replacement of LaTavia and LeToya by Michelle Williams and Farrah Franklin. The latter left the group months later, and it was only when Destiny's Child reached its final training. The trio would soon be consolidated as one of the most important groups of R&B. Their third album, "Survivor," won as much awards as the previous ones. In all, Destiny's Child has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide, has won several Grammys and other awards and has dominated the charts with their songs. In 2001, the girls decided to give the group a break and try their solo careers. Beyonc received the ASCAP award for best pop composer of the year. It was the second woman in history - the first African American - to receive this award. Knowles was the last of the trio to release disc by herself. "Dangerously in Love," which appeared in 2003, showed a more mature Beyonc, who had actively participated in all phases of the project. With topics such as "Crazy in Love", the disc sold more than five million copies and won seven Grammy nominations, which ended up winning no less than five. Beyonce has also tried other forms of art, such as performance. She has been involved in various projects for film and television, including the movie "Austin Powers in Gold Member." Her latest disc B'Day is composed and arranged by her. Beyonc completed work on his new studio album three weeks before entering the cast of a movie musical, "Dreamgirls." Movie and Soundtrack, which will include songs of Beyonc, were among the most anticipated events for that season. In 2005, Beyonce (who sold her image to promote brands like Pepsi, L'Oreal, and Tommy Hilfiger's perfume True Star) and her mother, Tina Knowles (who designed Destiny's Child's image) launched a fashion line: House of Deron, named after the grandmother of Beyonc. Beyonce's relationship with the rap star Jay-Z, which began in 2002, appears to be successful and could lead to a wedding sometimes soon.
